Discussion
Low pressure will move nearby this morning and it will drag a cold front to the coast by this afternoon. The storm has dumped more than two inches of rain in the NYC metro region, and there can be a few more showers today - even some with brief downpours. Temperatures rose overnight, but they will hold steady or fall slightly this afternoon as the wind picks up out of the W-NW. Sunshine returns on Thursday and the dry weather will continue right through the weekend and temperatures will generally be quite pleasant for this time of year. Another system could affect us with some rain activity early next week and it could become a major rain event.
