Discussion
High pressure will control our weather for another day, but then a slow-moving cold front will change the setup here in the Mid-Atlantic. In fact, a vigorous upper level system will help to generate a storm along this slow-moving cold front and this low pressure will spread steady rain throughout the New York metro region late Tuesday and Tuesday night. This rain event will likely drop between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rainfall around here and will be followed by an intrusion of seasonably colder air for the middle and latter portions of next week. Highs will be much closer to normal during the 2nd half of the week as compared with the 60’s that we are experiencing to begin the week.
