Discussion

A cold front slid through the region overnight and it will stall just to our south today. This front will then return northward as a warm front early tomorrow as a strong low pressure system rides up to our west from the southern Plains to the Great Lakes. A little rain could fall later tonight and perhaps be mixed with sleet for a brief time. Tomorrow will bring us periods of rain and some gusty winds as a cold front approaches from the west. Drier air returns on Thursday behind the storm as it pulls away to our northeast, but then more storms can affect us by Thursday night and then again later in the weekend.
