Discussion
Another rain event is headed our way for tonight and early tomorrow and it will be a soaker. A storm pulls out of the Lower Mississippi Valley today and heads toward the Northeast bringing with it copious amounts of moisture. It’ll be cold enough in upstate PA and NY for snow to fall from this storm, but it looks like all rain here in the DC metro region. Colder air follows this system for the Christmas weekend and it looks like it’ll stay dry and chilly both weekend days. One final note - winter officially began on a balmy note overnight (12:30 AM) with temperatures generally in the 50's at that time. In fact, a surge of warmth into the low 60's before midnight reached record-breaking territory at both Dulles and BWI Airports.
