Discussion
A powerful storm will move quickly from the southeastern states towards Pennsylvania today and then on into Eastern Canada by early tomorrow. Another soaking rain event is in store for the Mid-Atlantic with 0.75 to 1.25 inches likely this afternoon and early tonight. Some of the rain will come down hard at times and winds will pick up later today as the storm approaches. Behind the storm, the winds can gust past 40 mph late tonight and tomorrow as the storm races into eastern Canada. The weather stays generally cold and dry on Wednesday and Thursday before a weak system can cause a few showers here late this week.
