Discussion
Low pressure from the Deep South is headed in our general direction and a soaking rain event is likely from late today, through tonight and into early Friday. By the time the storm winds down by late Friday morning, most areas around here should have received between 0.5 and 1.0 inches of rainfall. Once the storm is over, tomorrow afternoon will feature windy and mild conditions and some clearing although temperatures will tend to drop slowly during the afternoon hours. There will be a general cooling trend from this weekend into early next week with highs near 50 on Saturday, mid 40’s on Sunday, and then holding at or below 40 degrees on Monday. The brunt of this next shot of cold air will, in fact, occur during Sunday night and Monday and, once again, a cold shot will give way rather quickly to milder weather beginning on Tuesday.
