Discussion
Low pressure sliding by to our west is swinging a cold front through the region this morning and heavy showers and possible thunderstorms will accompany the frontal passage. The rain will clear out of here during the mid-day and the afternoon will feature some sunshine along with wind gusts past 30 mph. Temperatures may slowly drop this afternoon after mild readings near 60 in the morning. Weak high pressure will build into the region early this weekend, but a weak frontal passage Saturday night will usher in somewhat cooler air for Sunday. A stronger front and upper level disturbance will pass through Sunday night and Monday, and that system may be accompanied by snow showers. Temperatures on Monday will struggle to reach 40 degrees. A warming trend begins on Tuesday, but it will be cut off by another cold frontal passage on Wednesday.
