Discussion
A warm front has passed through the region and temperatures today will be off to the races. Highs should reach the upper 50’s this afternoon and approach 60 degrees tomorrow afternoon although a couple of showers are possible. Another front will pass through tomorrow night and that will usher in cooler air for Thursday and a wave of low pressure is likely to ride along the front as it stalls to our south. As a result, a little bit of chilly rain is possible on Thursday and there is the slight chance that it could end as snow before some sunshine returns on Friday to close out the work week. Looking ahead, there are signs of much colder weather to develop later next week as a strong ridge of high pressure will develop across western North America. This pattern will allow some of the very cold air that has been bottled up across western Canada and Alaska to slide southeastward towards the central and eastern US.
