Discussion
The Phillies have already sold over 3 million tickets with all others on sale today, spring training is just around the corner, but it looks like we'll have threats for winter-like weather for at least the next 2 or 3 weeks or so. Low pressure will head to our northwest today and will spread some rain into the area; especially, during the afternoon and evening hours. While the precipitation amounts will be heavier than Tuesday’s system, it will not be a heavy rain event with a quarter to a third of an inch expected by later tonight. High pressure will build back into the region on Friday and will stick around into the weekend; however, then attention will turn to the southeast US as a storm will gather strength by Saturday night. The storm track from that point on is still in question, but the threat continues for a Mid-Atlantic coastal storm late in the upcoming weekend that could spread snow into the area. Some of the models continue to push the storm to our south, but that appears to be an unlikely scenario so the main question will likely come down to precipitation types and amounts. Stay tuned.
