Discussion
High pressure will build back into the region today and will stick around to begin the weekend; however, attention will then turn to the southeast US as a storm will gather strength there by early Sunday. There will be a strong Mid-Atlantic storm on Sunday, but the storm track from that point on is still in some question. Currently, it appears that the greatest chance for accumulating snow from this system will be across the DC metro region with Philly on the northern fringes and NYC perhaps completely out of the money. A slight shift in the storm track, however, could make a big difference in results so stay tuned. Longer term, the overall pattern continues to look quite active and there will be additional threats for snow over the next few weeks.
