Discussion

There is one more cold day to endure here in the Mid-Atlantic region before a significant two-day warm up takes place. Temperatures today will be confined once again to the 40’s, but then should climb rapidly through the 50’s on Wednesday as strong high pressure moves off the east coast and promotes warming here thanks to a broad southwesterly flow of air that will develop behind the system. By Thursday afternoon, temperatures should climb well up into the 60’s, but then it’ll turn seasonably cool again for Friday and Saturday before yet another warming trend begins on Sunday. Longer term, next week looks warm throughout much of the country including right here in the Mid-Atlantic.
