1:45 PM | Initial look at Opening Day and Easter weekend weather

Opening Day is now only a week away as the Mets begin the new season next Thursday afternoon at Citi Field against the Braves (Yankees open on Friday in Tampa Bay), and shortly after that will come Easter weekend. Initial indications are that both Opening Day and Easter weekend could feature some rather chilly weather conditions in the Mid-Atlantic region as the overall pattern continues to shift away from the incredibly warm stretch of weather that we experienced here earlier this month. In fact, in about 36 hours or so, snow will make a return appearance across upstate PA and southern NY for the first time in some time, and this will very likely not be its last appearance in the Mid-Atlantic region. A deep upper-level trof is likely to develop in the East towards the latter part of next week and this could bring us some sustained colder conditions during the first part of April. Stay tuned.
