Discussion
A Philly tripleheader sweep yesterday as the Sixers and Flyers won on the road and the Phillies won at home in cold, windy weather. Today's weather will be somewhat similar to yesterday with brisk and chilly conditions and a possible PM shower, but the stubborn low pressure system that has been stationed to our north for the last few days will finally begin its exit from the Mid-Atlantic region. This will allow for the buildup of high pressure along the east coast by tomorrow and that in turn will set the stage for a dramatic weekend warm up. Temperatures will remain chilly today and could drop to near freezing once again late tonight, but they will then climb to more pleasant levels on Friday afternoon before surging dramatically late in the weekend and early next week. That surge can actually bring temperatures here to 80 degrees by Sunday afternoon and well up in the 80's on Monday.
