Discussion
High pressure will build into the region today and sunshine should return along with pleasant conditions. More sunshine is likely on Friday and high temperatures should reach the low 70’s. A cold front will then approach the region on Saturday and there can be showers and thunderstorms associated with that frontal passage during the afternoon hours. By Sunday, a strong storm will be gathering strength in the Southeast US and this will bring us significant rain to close out the weekend. This strong storm will ride up the east coast late Sunday and Monday and will flood the Northeast US with chilly air by early next week and the higher elevations from Pennsylvania north and east could actually see some snow out of this event.
