Discussion

A cold front will stall out along the east coast early today and a wave of low pressure will then ride up along this boundary zone later today and tonight. As a result, after a break from the rain during the late morning and early afternoon hours, the threat for showers and thunderstorms will return later today and continue right through tonight before the wave of low pressure finally lifts to our northeast on Thursday. Once that coastal storm is gone, high pressure will build back into the Mid-Atlantic region and much better weather will close out the week. The weather may turn somewhat unsettled again late in the weekend or during the first part of next week.
