Discussion
The balls were flying last night during the Phillies/Cardinals game last night in St. Louis as "home run weather" invaded the Midwest (App index of 10 out of 10; 4 home runs), and that summerlike weather will head to the Mid-Atlantic for the weekend. In fact, it looks like the first “unofficial” weekend of summer will live up to its billing with very warm and humid conditions thanks to a large high pressure ridge that is setting up in the eastern states. Temperatures should climb well into the 80’s through Monday, but while most of the time will be rain-free, there is the chance for a shower or thunderstorm at just about anytime. This preview of summer will only be transient; however, as temperatures will return to normal or below over the next week to ten days.
