Discussion
A bubble of high pressure will slide eastward from the central Plains over the next couple of days and this will cause an eastern extension of the hot and humid air mass into the Mid-Atlantic region. Temperatures will likely climb towards 100 degrees on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the DC metro region, but it will not necessarily stay rain-free. In fact, a frontal boundary will likely stall in our vicinity over the weekend and this could result in scattered thunderstorms each day beginning tomorrow morning.
