Discussion
The cold front that slipped through the region over the weekend and ended the heat wave is currently stalled to our south and waves of low pressure will tend to ride along the boundary zone from west-to-east over the next few days. As a result, there are a few passing showers around this morning and a shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out for this afternoon. Later this week, the frontal zone will tend to fall apart while high pressure builds into the Mid-Atlantic reducing our chances for rain on Wednesday and Thursday. Unsettled weather conditions seem likely to close out the work week and for the weekend as well to include the chance for occasional showers and thunderstorms.
