Discussion
Just what the doctor ordered - a break from the hot and dry weather with cooler and damp conditions for a couple of days along with much needed rainfall. Low pressure will ride along a stalled out frontal system to bring us occasional showers today and tonight although much of the time will be rain-free; especially, during the mid-day hours. There can also be a thunderstorm or two mixed in and some of the rain will be heavy at times. An ocean flow of air (ie NE wind) has developed here on the north side of this low pressure system and temperatures will be much cooler today compared to recent days and may be confined to the 70’s on Saturday. High pressure will slowly build back into the Mid-Atlantic region by tomorrow night and Sunday promises to be a better day with partial sunshine and still rather pleasant temperatures and humidity values. Monday and Tuesday will see a return of heat and humidity, but a cool front passes through by Wednesday, ushering in more comfortable air for the mid-week.
