Discussion
The excessive heat continues today in the inland sections of southern California, but a slight cooling trend will begin on Tuesday. Strong high pressure continues to dominate the scene in the Southwest US and triple digit readings will be possible again today in interior sections. Coastal locations will be much more tolerable, however, with highs in the 70’s to start the new week.
