Discussion
High pressure has moved into the region following the weekend frontal passage and this high will continue to control our weather into mid-week at which time a weak cool front will approach the area from our northwest. That front can cause a few showers late Tuesday night and Wednesday, and maybe even a thunderstorm, but then dry, cool weather will resume on Thursday and continue into Friday. Temperatures will be way below normal today as the average high is around 77 degrees at Reagan National Airport and we’ll likely not pass the 70 degree mark. At this point, the weekend looks questionable as low pressure will likely spread showers into the Mid-Atlantic region.
