Discussion

Yet another cold front will pass through the region later today and it will usher in the coldest air of the season so far. In fact, the first hard freeze of the season is likely late tonight and early tomorrow to the N and W of NYC as temperatures fall to the low-to-mid 30's with frost. Temperatures on Saturday will once again hold at well below normal levels throughout the region struggling to pass the mid-to-upper 50’s for afternoon highs. It will turn milder on Sunday as a large high pressure system shifts to just off of the east coast and, from this location, it will help to shift our winds to a southwesterly direction. It'll remain mild on Monday, but a frontal system will close in from the west and will bring showers back to the region. Cooler weather is in store following that front for Tuesday and Wednesday.
