Discussion
Strong high pressure continues to stretch from our region to the Canadian Maritimes and will continue to do so over the next few days. Low pressure currently off the SE US coastline will try to head up along the coast over the next few days, but it will be forced to turn to the northeast due to an upper atmospheric blocking pattern. As a result, our dry and chilly weather pattern will continue right into the middle of next week. Looking ahead to Turkey Day, from this vantage point the weather looks pretty nice with partly sunny skies and afternoon temperatures generally in the 50’s. One final note - the annual Leonid meteor shower will peak in the pre-dawn hours (2-6am) with partly cloudy skies expected.
