Discussion
High pressure will shift off the coast today and low pressure will form on the southern Plains and then move northeast to just off the Mid-Atlantic coast by later tomorrow. It’ll be cold enough for snow or a mix of rain and snow to begin here by the early morning hours before changing to mainly snow during the midday hours. Accumulations by later tomorrow in the northern and western suburbs should be on the order of 1-3 inches with slightly lesser amounts from Philly south and east. The snow winds down early tomorrow night and high pressure will return for the second half of the week, but it'll remain quite cold. Milder weather is likely by early next week.
