Discussion
The last couple of days of the work week will be colder-than-normal, but a substantial warm up will begin later this weekend as the new month of December gets going. The same atmospheric pattern that will produce tremendous rainfall amounts in northern California over the next few days will push milder air across the country from coast-to-coast. The Rockies have already begun to turn milder, the Plains will warm up significantly this weekend, and then the milder Pacific Ocean air will advance to the eastern states for the Sunday/Monday/Tuesday time period. A cold front will then swing through the region during the middle of next week ending the temporary warm up.
