Discussion
High pressure will sit nearby today providing us with plenty of sunshine, but also cold temperatures as highs will be confined to the low-to-mid 40’s (normal high is now 48 degrees). It'll remain chilly on Friday and some light rain is possible by later in the day. Milder air will move into the region on Saturday on the back side of the high after it moves off the east coast, but there will be plenty of clouds around and also the threat for a couple of showers.
Looking ahead, the overall weather pattern will begin a noticeable change late this weekend and early next week across much of the country as colder air pours into the Rockies, Central Plains and Great Lakes, and a storm spreads snow throughout that region. A strong cold front associated with that storm will sweep to the east coast by Tuesday ushering into the East a markedly colder air mass for Tuesday and Wednesday after a mild day on Monday ahead of the front.
