A quiet weather pattern is in store for the rest of the work week here in the Mid-Atlantic with seasonably cool temperatures and some sunshine each day. The overall pattern, however, will become quite a bit stormier as we progress through the second half of the month with the first threat of a low pressure system to affect the region with rain coming late in the weekend. Another even stronger storm threatens for the middle of next week and that could involve rain and/or snow. Odds from this long-range view favor snow in the elevated interior sections of the Mid-Atlantic and rain, possibly changing to snow, near coastal regions and the I-95 corridor. Stay tuned.
