Discussion

High pressure will build into the region today following last night’s storm system and then a second and stronger storm will affect the region on Wednesday. This next storm will move northeast from the Deep South towards central Virginia and it could start as snow and/or sleet but this will be mainly a rain event and the rain will be heavy tomorrow night. That storm pulls away on Thursday and another storm heads our way for the latter part of the weekend after a couple of cold and dry days to close out the week. The weekend storm looks like it'll be part of an overall colder atmospheric scenario; consequently, accumulating snow could be the result.
