Discussion
There will be one more mild day to start the week before seasonal chill moves back into the region by tomorrow. The transition from mild to seasonal chill will come with some rain shower activity this morning and again later tonight and from late tonight into early Wednesday it could be just cold enough for snow and sleet to mix in at times in the far northern suburbs. Finally, one more low pressure area will have to be watched for later Thursday into Friday as colder air moves into the region. At the moment, it looks like that system may miss us just to our south and east, but it is a close call and its precipitation would likely be primarily snow should it move further north. After a moderately cold weekend, even colder air is destined to arrive early next week throughout the eastern part of the country as it appears the overall pattern becomes quite cold.
