A stalled out frontal system just to the southeast of the I-95 corridor will act as a pathway for another low pressure system to travel along and it looks like it will produce a mixed bag of precipitation around here from tonight into early Wednesday. We’ll be right near the boundary zone between rain, sleet and snow during this storm with small accumulations of ice and/or snow possible in the N and W suburbs, but in places like the Poconos the precipitation will fall primarily as snow on the order of 3-4 inches. Another storm threatens the east coast late in the week, but it continues to look like it may miss us just to our south and east. Friday will be a noticeably colder day, but that cold will quickly modify this weekend before a significant cool down begins early next week.
