Discussion
A cold upper level low pressure system will dive southward across interior California later this week and this will bring much cooler and unsettled conditions to the area as the week progresses. Chilly showers are likely in and around the LA metro region by Thursday night and Friday, and snow levels will drop to such low levels that nearby mountains at or above 2500 feet could see snow by Friday. In addition to the chill, winds will be quite gusty later this week and the atmosphere will be unstable enough to allow for the formation of some thunderstorms.
