Discussion
A cold front will approach the region today and rain will develop during the morning hours and there is a decent chance that sleet and/or snow is mixed in briefly at the onset. Rain showers wind down this evening and temperatures will then drop rather quickly late tonight possibly causing a few slick spots on the roads. High pressure will follow for mid-week as another impressive cold air mass moves into the Mid-Atlantic region. Both Wednesday and Thursday will feature below normal temperatures with chilly winds despite some sunshine each day. Moisture returns to the region on Friday with some rain or snow showers possible and then the weekend could bring a winter storm to the Mid-Atlantic region with some rain, sleet or snow possible.
