Discussion
The storm that dumped a lot of snow across the central Plains and Upper Midwest will undergo a weakening process today as it grinds to a halt over the Great Lakes region. Some of the moisture that remains from this system will move into our area tonight and it’ll be cold enough for a mixture of snow, sleet, freezing rain and/or rain although tonight's precipitation amounts will be on the light side. Over the weekend, another storm will take shape in the Southeast US and it will become an important coastal storm that should bring rain to the DC-to-Philly-to-NYC corridor, but snow to much of New England as has been the case the last couple of weekends.
