Discussion
The week will start off quite mild, but a secondary cold front will pass through the region by tonight and it will usher in the return of below-normal air for much of the week. It’ll stay dry into the late week, but some rain is likely by Friday as a storm moves towards the east coast. Looking ahead, while much of this week looks chilly, there are signs for warmer conditions to move into the Mid-Atlantic beginning early next week.
Elsewhere, it’ll climb to the comfortable mid 70’s today in Atlanta, but cooler air moves in this evening for the opening game between the Braves and Phillies. The Phillies home opener is 4PM Friday afternoon and, from this vantage point, the weather looks to be somewhat threatening with the chance for some rain at the end of the week.
