Discussion

A frontal system has stalled just to the south of here and high pressure is building across New England as we close out the week. While there will be a few high clouds around today, mostly sunny skies will boost afternoon temperatures to the pleasant middle 70's. As the stalled out front begins to return to the north this weekend, clouds will increase on Saturday, it'll turn slightly cooler than today, and the threat for scattered showers will return for Sunday and Monday. Winds will become southwesterly by Tuesday and this will usher in a warm and more humid air mass by the middle of next week.
