Discussion
Another rain event is in store for the Mid-Atlantic region today and tonight as a cool front approaches from the Great Lakes. Showers and scattered thunderstorms up and down the east coast later today will dump more rainfall in an area where grounds are already quite saturated. Improvement will occur on Friday behind the front, but then another cool front could generate more showers and thunderstorms on Saturday in the NYC metro region. Very pleasant weather will follow that secondary frontal system on Sunday and Monday with plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures and humidity levels for early August.
