Discussion
Unsettled weather has returned to the Mid-Atlantic region and it looks like it may stick around right through the upcoming weekend. While much of the time will be rain-free over the next several days, showers and thunderstorms will threaten at just about any time and there most certainly will be some heavy rain during this extended stretch of unsettled weather. Temperatures will remain below normal today holding in the 70's for afternoon highs and this will continue our cooler-than-normal beginning to the month of August. We'll warm up, however, on Thursday and Friday as we should get into the warm sector behind the passage of a warm frontal system.
