Discussion
A cold front crossed the region yesterday, but the real chill behind it will be more noticeable later today and especially by tonight after coastal low pressure pushes away to our northeast. North-to-northwest winds will usher in the coolest air mass of the season so far and temperatures will stay well below normal for the rest of the week and right into the upcoming weekend. For the first time this year, the next few days will feature early morning low temperatures not far from the freezing mark in outlying areas to the north and west of NYC.
