Discussion

A cold front will generate shower activity around here later this morning and early this afternoon, and then, as the front sweeps off the east coast, some partial clearing is possible and the end of the afternoon. High pressure will build back into the region by tomorrow and it’ll be anchoring another colder-than-normal air mass for this time of year and the chill will continue right into the early part of next week. Looking ahead, there are signs for an even colder air mass to invade the northeastern part of the country by the middle of next week and it could be accompanied by some snow in parts of the Mid-Atlantic region. More on that threat later.
