Discussion
A strong low pressure system southeast of Long Island will head towards Nova Scotia, Canada today and high pressure will build into the area by tomorrow. The combination of the departing strong low pressure and the approaching high pressure system will create strong winds today gusting out of the northwest up to 45 mph or so. A cold front will approach the region late this week and will stall nearby producing the threat for showers at the end of the week and over the upcoming weekend.
