Discussion
Very warm weather greeted the Phillies in Texas yesterday for their season opener (“home run weather” app index a very favorable 8/10) and they responded with 14 runs and 3 home runs. Much milder weather is headed to the Mid-Atlantic region for the next few days with high temperatures of 60+ degrees likely around here from today through Thursday. After a mostly sunny day today; however, the weather will become somewhat unsettled for the second half of the week. An area of low pressure will move through the Great Lakes region at mid-week on its way towards eastern Canada and its associated cold front will pass across our region early tomorrow. The front is then forecast to stall just south of the area later in the week and pave the way for some late week wet weather. Another low pressure system emerging from the Rockies and moving northeastward toward the Great Lakes should bring its warm front through the region by Friday with its cold front passing through the region early Saturday. Once that cold frontal system clears the region early on Saturday, clearing skies will take place in time for a decent weekend.
