Discussion
Unsettled weather will continue into tomorrow in the DC metro region with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible as additional upstream moisture rides along a frontal boundary zone. Cooler weather is in store for the weekend as strong Canadian high pressure will build southward into the area. Once this high takes control of the weather pattern, a persistent low-level flow of air will develop from the east-to-northeast. Temperatures will generally hold in the 70’s for highs this weekend and into the early part of next – well below normal for this time of year.
