Discussion

Less humid air pushed into the region yesterday and humidity will remain at moderate levels today as well. High pressure will push off the Northeast coastline tonight; however, and this will usher in a return to higher humidity air for Friday and Saturday. While there can be scattered showers and thunderstorms later tomorrow night in the NYC metro area, a more widespread threat comes Saturday afternoon and evening with the approach of the next strong cool frontal system. Once that next cool front clears the east coast on Sunday, much cooler and drier air will push into the area and it’ll stay cooler-than-normal on Monday and Tuesday as well.
