Discussion
A weak cool front passed through the region early yesterday with a few showers and high pressure has regained control and will stay in control for the rest of the week. Temperatures will continue to run at below normal levels over the next few days with highs generally in the 70’s along the I-95 corridor and nighttime lows in the cool low-to-mid 50’s. As high pressure pushes off the Northeast coastline this weekend, our low-level winds will become southwesterly and it'll turn warmer. In fact, the warmest of the next five days is likely to be Sunday with 80+ degrees possible for high temperatures. That weekend warm up will be short-lived, however, as a cool front should usher in cooler air during the early part of next week. Elsewhere, flooding rains can be expected in Arizona and New Mexico over the next couple of days from the remains of Hurricane Odile.
