Discussion

"Wrap-around" snow showers indeed pin wheeled around stalled out low pressure yesterday and again last night, and they will continue to do so right into early tonight. Additional accumulations are likely from these snow showers and there can even be a period of steadier snow and heavier snow bursts today given the continued highly unstable condition of the atmosphere. This persistent low pressure system - now stuck over New England - won't relinquish control of the weather until later tomorrow when high pressure finally builds into the region.
