Discussion
An area of snow is moving towards the Mid-Atlantic coastline this morning and the I-95 corridor region between Philly and New York City is on its northwest fringe. Snow has been falling rather steadily this morning across the DC metro region this, but it is having trouble advancing into the drier air mass that is entrenched north of the PA/MD border. While there can be some light snow in the Philly metro region from mid-morning to mid-day, nothing more than a coating is expected and that will primarily occur from Philly south and east. Farther south and east, more substantial snow is falling today with a few inches likely across central and southern Delaware and southern new Jersey. Our Arctic cold pattern will be renewed for the end of the week following this southern system as another batch of Arctic air pours into the region.
