Discussion
March ended yesterday on a chilly note across much of the Northeast US and the month as a whole was well below normal (map) in that part of the country. Today will turn out to be a drier day compared to the first two days of the work week, but it’ll be quite breezy and cold for the first day of April. Temperatures are likely to hold primarily in the 50’s this afternoon, but much milder air will advance northward into our region on Thursday. It’ll stay quite mild on Friday; however, showers are likely as the next cold front approaches from the northwest - perhaps even a thunderstorm or two. Lingering showers are possible early Saturday morning following the cold frontal passage and it’ll turn colder again as we begin the Easter weekend.
