Persistent E-NE low-level winds will keep us cold for another day in the I-95 corridor, but then dramatic changes will occur on Friday as yesterday’s cold front becomes tomorrow’s warm front. Our winds will shift back to a southwesterly direction on Friday and temperatures will jump ahead of an approaching "west-to-east" moving cold frontal system. Drizzle or occasional showers are likely today and tonight and there will be some patchy fog around; especially, after midnight. Occasional showers are likely on Friday ahead of the next frontal system and there can be a strong thunderstorm or two mixed into the picture, but it will not be a total washout as we close out the work week. All of this inclement weather clears off the east coast by early Saturday paving the way for a pretty nice weekend in the I-95 corridor region although there will be a noticeable breeze on Saturday. The cherry blossoms should explode with the warmth on Friday and will be in peak form for the pleasant upcoming weekend.
