Discussion

A strong cold frontal passage on Wednesday ushered in a pattern change that will bring the Mid-Atlantic region colder-than-normal weather conditions not only for the rest of the week, but also likely for the rest of the month. Overnight lows in the 30’s in suburban locations will be the norm for the next few nights and frost is not out of the question early Friday morning and again early Saturday morning. As far as rainfall is concerned, there will be an area of showers across northern Maryland and Virginia on Saturday, but it is likely to stay far enough away for us to stay dry. Looking ahead, many computer forecast models are forecasting a significant east coast storm next week in the Wednesday-to-Friday time period.
