Discussion
A strong cool front passed through the region late yesterday and NW winds behind the front have ushered in another cool, crisp air mass for this time of year. The refreshingly cool air will stick around into the weekend and tonight’s overnight lows should drop to near 50 degrees in many suburban locations north and west of the District.
Tomorrow will feature weak low pressure passing by just to our south and it should come close enough to produce showers in the local region before quickly departing early Friday. Nice weather will return for the end of the work week and for the beginning of the holiday weekend, and then noticeably warmer conditions are likely to return on Sunday and Monday. By Monday, the threat for showers and thunderstorms returns to the forecast and that threat is likely to continue on Tuesday as well.
